Hello,
I am trying to RDP to a Windows server and receiving the following error message:
an authentication error has occurred code 0x80004005
My laptop is running Windows 10, and I am only having problems connecting to the servers through an isolated VPN. I am able to RDP using other VPNs. I am able to connect to the servers via this isolated VPN on another laptop, so it must be a setting on this specific laptop that is preventing my connection.
The Event Viewer shows the following messages during the attempted connection:
RDPClient_SSL: An error was encountered when transitioning from TsSslStateHandshakeInProgress to TsSslStateDisconnecting in response to TsSslEventHandshakeContinueFailed (error code 0x80004005).
RDPClient_TCP: An error was encountered when transitioning from TcpStateExpectingX244CC to TcpStateFailure in response to TcpEventErrorProcessingX224CC (error code 0x80004005).
Please let me know if you have any ideas.
Thank you,
Nicole
